Bantry Construction was established over 25 years ago, in 1988. The company has grown and advanced considerably over this time. The current annual turnover is R 300 000 000-00 .

Bantry HouseBantry Construction has always been a proud member of the Master Builders Association. Since its inception, the company has strived to be fair in all its dealings in the quest to build quality buildings, on time.

The company specialises in the construction of commercial and industrial buildings and has successfully undertaken the construction of many factories, motor dealerships, churches, shopping centres, and office blocks, in the greater Johannesburg area.

The company employs a staff of highly qualified construction engineers who oversee a workforce of approximately 250 people.

Because of the diversity and dynamic structure of the company, depending on current work load, no job is ever too small or too large for the company to undertake.

The company places great emphasis on safety and training within the organisation, at all of its operations. To this end the company formed its ownDirectors in-house  Safety And Training  Department. This department is managed by Jaco Van Der Westhuizen. Jaco is highly qualified in his field, he holds an Advanced SHEMTRAC, qualification. He is also a qualified Fall Protection Developer, and a qualified S.H.E.  Practitioner. The level of Safety implemented within Bantry Construction, complies with International Standards.

In 1998, 10 years after the company started, the company launched Bantry Woodcraft Division. This division headed up by David Cronje has established an excellent name for itself in the industry, and employs a staff of 6 carpenters and cabinet makers. Initially the division serviced only the needs of Bantry Construction and its clients. Today 20% of its order book is taken up by outside clients.

As part of Bantry Construction’s Social And Economic upliftment responsibility, in 2006, the company launched Bantry Steel Works, a majority black owned company, that specialises in the construction of light to medium weight steelwork projects. Bantry Steel Works employs 10 specialist boiler makers and steel workers.

Bantry Construction is a level 4 contributer to broad based black economic empowerment.
